2022 National Annual Convention

Updated: Feb 9, 2022

In an email sent earlier this month to National Representatives, this year's Multiples of America President Donna Kuni announced that the Board of Directors have determined that an in-person Convention would not be possible. This decision was the result of evaluating the budget, financial projections, travel restrictions, changes to COVID-19 protocols and lengthy discussions within the Executive Board.

At the time of this announcement, Donna would like members to understand that this was not an easy decision to make. Traditionally, the National Convention remains a part of the club's history as a grand social event, and one of the few opportunities where members of local clubs have a chance to meet and socialize with members in other states around the country for one week at the end of July. She stated that it is not in the organization's financial best interest to risk an in-person convention next year.

Given that after this announcement was made, the news has reported spikes across the country that more COVID-19 cases have arisen due to the omicron variant. Especially since our National convention would include members in different states across our nation, having an in-person convention in 2022 would not be a safe decision. Personally, I agree with the decision - no matter what your comfort level is within the pandemic, nothing is more important than the health and safety of other individuals.

The Convention that took place in earlier in July of 2021 was the first "virtual" convention in the club's history. The virtual event was so that business normally associated with in-person conventions would be able to take place.

Donna plans to have more updates available to members through club contacts, email and updates posted to the Multiples of America website, www.multiplesofamerica.org.

For specific questions, Donna asks that they be directed to the Executive office at: info@multiplesofamerica.org.

MWPoM plans to update members as more information becomes available.
