It's October already? part one

We are so excited to be starting this new club year! Before I tell you what’s in store for the club this year, here are some shout-outs to our volunteers that helped out recently.

In June, we had an in-person Year End Social at the Holliston Historical Society’s barn. Monicky Marcellino, our Social Chair, did an amazing job pulling it all together, especially with this past spring’s constantly changing Covid related meeting regulations. She was also able to coordinate the Playground tour this summer. Thanks go to Sarah Pellegrini, Anna Karamayan, and Melody Chappel for volunteering to host the playground tour meetups.

This year’s National convention went virtual at the end of July. I’d like to thank Lanie Wish (National Rep and Newsletter) and Ruthie August for being our delegates and attending the Zoom convention and making sure our club

was represented.

Stephanie Tu, my amazing VP, has also been busy this summer. She set up the Parents’ Nights out in August: Medusa Brewery in Hudson and Mazi in Ashland. Both places had great food and drinks but even better company! She’s also been key in helping me plan out the coming year.

At our Ice Cream Social in September, Monicky did another fabulous job setting the stage for a fun night. Kudos to Jessica Falk (our Support Chair AND Member of the Year) for picking up and delivering the donation of yummy JJ’s Ice Cream, Megan Chen (our Hospitality Chair) for making sure we had all the ice cream eating supplies, and Stephanie Tu for the donation of yummy toppings! It was a great night to spend with one another catching up!

Also, a big thank you goes to Abby Lowtin for helping edit the blog posts!!

Coming in October, we have a lot planned for our members! On Saturday, October 2nd we are meeting up at Tougas farms in Northborough, MA. Check out their website to see all that they have available: http://tougasfamilyfarm.com . This year, instead of renting a tent we are going to commandeer a picnic table near the playground from 1-4PM. Stop by and say hi and have some snacks!

My board and I are working to put together the rest of fall and winter programs: October General meeting (10/14), Trunk or Treat (10/23), online tag sale, potluck, cookie swap, and holiday party. I hope to give you all the details in the next letter!
